- 12-03-2024
During the 20th anniversary livestream for Capcom's Monster Hunter, although no new information was shared about the highly anticipated Monster Hunter Wilds, an exciting collaboration with Street Fighter 6 was revealed. In this unique partnership, players will have the opportunity to equip their characters with the iconic Rathalos Armor. This customization option is available in both the multiplayer Battle Hub and the solo World Tour mode, adding a Monster Hunter twist to the Street Fighter universe.
Moreover, the Battle Hub is set to exhibit elements celebrating Monster Hunter's two decades of success, including a monumental Rathalos display that features a dramatic scene with two Palicoes. The collaboration quest, which will kick off in April, promises to bring more details on how players can acquire the Rathalos Armor.
Street Fighter 6, available on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PS4, and PC, is gearing up to introduce its fourth DLC character, Akuma, as part of its Year 1 content this Spring. Additionally, Capcom is already working on Year 2 content, although the new characters remain under wraps for now.
As for Monster Hunter fans eagerly awaiting Monster Hunter Wilds, they will have to hold on until 2025 for the game's release on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. However, Capcom assures more information will be shared in the upcoming summer.
This collaboration marks a significant moment for both franchises, seamlessly blending the worlds of Monster Hunter and Street Fighter for fans and players. As both series continue to evolve and expand, this partnership is a testament to Capcom's commitment to providing engaging and innovative gaming experiences.
