Halo Infinite players have long overdue a number of complaints, including bugs, lack of post-launch content, and especially the player reward system. 343 Industries, the developer of the game, is very quick to resolve any issues and difficulties that arise, despite the fact that Halo Infinite is only a year old.

One of the latest and most welcome additions is an XP reward system, which is based on how much time the player spends in the game rather than how carefully they complete the Battle Passes. According to a post from the Halo Waypoint blog, this system will go live on November 8th, after which players will earn basic experience points just by playing games, not by completing various tasks.

The main scoring principles will now focus on how well a player performed in a match. XP will be rewarded based on things like being on the winning team and the number of matches played. As for the challenges from the battle pass, they will be an alternative way to get XP, but nothing more.

A number of changes will affect the challenges. Now they will be closer to the fact that the player in the process does not ruin the game for others, their number will be reduced to 10 per week, which will allow you to reach the Ultimate Challenge goal. Previously, there were 20 such challenges, they were less thought out and sometimes made it difficult for other team members to win. The upcoming XP update will be part of the winter update that will also bring Forge to the game, which will open up a lot of in-game creativity.
