The upcoming release of a popular racing game has sparked discussions within the gaming community. Many players are eager to experience the latest installment on their preferred console, but there are specific requirements and limitations associated with it.

Forza Horizon 5 is scheduled to be released on PlayStation 5 on April 29, 2025. Reports indicate that users will need to create a link between their PlayStation Network account and a Microsoft account during the initial setup. If players decide to unlink their accounts later, they will only be able to re-link the same Microsoft account that was first connected.

Although the game allows players to engage with others across different platforms, platforms, it does not allow for cross-platform progression; therefore, any advancements made on the PS5 will not be carried over to the Xbox or Steam versions. Furthermore, to access multiplayer features, a PlayStation Plus subscription will be necessary. Additionally, It is important to highlight that there won’t be any physical disc version of the game available.

These factors have contributed to an increase in worries among the gaming community. If the account-linking option were to become unavailable, it could render the game inaccessible. Moreover, the lack of a physical edition intensifies these apprehensions, as it restricts ownership to digital formats that depend on online connectivity.

How do you view this circumstance? Does the absence of a physical version influence your decision to play the game?
