WhatsApp Offers Extended Privacy Options

WhatsApp reveals new features that improve users’ privacy. The company decided to increase it right after the scandal rose up, including the criminal activities organized via WhatsApp. Now, the huge messaging app adds more features to bring users control over their accounts and conversations.

You may not worry about your private conversations since there is end-to-end encryption used by the company. Yet, after growing concerns, WhatsApp decided to raise the level of security. Apart from that, you may enable the 2 step verification and use the encrypted backups. There are disappearing message functions for those who want to chat about something private. If you believe other users are suspicious, you don’t have to talk to them. You can block anyone and make a report to the company.

Nowadays, users can silently leave all the groups they don’t want to be in, but since were invited by others can’t do that openly. Other users will not be able to see that you have left the group. Only the administration will see it. This month the rules will change for the visibility of your profile. Not everyone will be able to find you that easily if you don’t want to be seen. You will be able to choose whether you want to hide your online status or not.

Extra protection from WhatsApp included the View Once feature with the possibility to destroy the media and share photos after they were viewed or received. WhatsApp is going to release a guide to the new services for users who want to increase their safety while chatting with each other. There will be more educational content from the company. While there is no specific date, WhatsApp says the updates will be released by the end of next month.
