The anticipation for upcoming series on Disney+ is growing as new trailers reveal exciting developments for 2025. This includes a sneak peek at the much-awaited second season of Star Wars: Andor, alongside the introduction of the Alien: Earth television series.

Recently released footage showcases various anticipated titles, featuring highlights from The Bear Season 4 and Star Wars Skeleton Crew. Among these, Andor Season 2 emerges as a focal point, set to premiere on April 22. The trailer presents familiar faces such as Diego Luna’s Cassian Andor and Stellan Skarsgård’s Luthen Rael, along with a first look at the beloved K-2SO. This iconic former Imperial enforcer droid, who captured audiences’ hearts in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, will see Alan Tudyk return to voice and provide motion capture for his character in this new season.

In addition to Star Wars: Andor, the clip teases the upcoming FX series Alien: Earth, which is helmed by Noah Hawley, known for his remarkable work in Fargo and Legion. As confirmed by Hawley, this prequel series—set in a distant version of Earth—will feature at least one of the franchise's infamous Xenomorphs, giving fans a fleeting look at it in the trailer.

Sharing his thoughts in September, Hawley expressed the thrill of witnessing a Xenomorph in an Earth setting. However, some fans voiced their concerns regarding the series’ timeline in the early 2090s, occurring many years prior to the occurrences of the original Alien film. This choice places it even earlier than Ridley Scott's Prometheus, which unfolds in 2093 and delves into the origins of the Xenomorphs.

Earlier this year, Hawley explained that he chose to disregard the world-building elements introduced in Prometheus for Alien: Earth. He believes that the idea of the Xenomorphs being created recently is less compelling. Instead, his vision leans towards embracing the retro-futuristic aesthetic found in the first two films of the franchise.

With much more on the horizon, enthusiasts can anticipate a variety of fresh and returning series available for streaming next year's lineup on Disney+ and the combined service with Hulu.
